You know, the good thing about having a good editor is they give you good advice. I (thought I’d) finished Part 3 of my novel The Mayonnaise Murders several weeks ago and was all geeked to have that thing finally done so I could have it out and gone by now. But then the editor, doing what editors do, comes back with the edits and you (meaning me) have to realize that, well, damn. OK. So maybe it isn’t quite so perfect just yet…
MM the conclusion back in the shop for a tune up, but hoping to have the new and improved ending done and ready to go within next couple of weeks.
A good editor doesn’t always tell you what you wanna hear, but they tell you what you better hear if you want to be a better writer. And if you don’t want to be a better writer then stop writing.
